Don Fidler’s UNC Videos for Teaching Psychotherapy Using Fairy Tales
These videos were produced in the 1980s by committee member Don Fidler, MD, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. These videos and accompanying teaching materials are hosted here on the web pages of the Committee on Arts and Humanities in the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry (GAP). UNC-CH and Chapel Hill actors portray the story of Dr. Berger, a psychoanalyst modeled after Sigmund Freud, providing psychotherapeutic treatment for the famous Gretel from the Grimm fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel."
